Hello Minn-Dak Circle K!

It's that time of year already! The 2010 Circle K International Convention is just around the corner, and Minn-Dak Circle K is gearing up for a great time! You have all worked so hard this year; this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate (of course, while doing some service and learning more about Circle K). I would like to extend a personal invitation to each of you, to join us in St. Louis this summer!

International Convention

The low down!

  • What: Circle K International Convention
  • When: August 4-7, 2010
  • Where: St. Louis, Missouri on the campus of Washington University!
  • Cost: $395 (which includes registration, 4 nights housing on campus, and a $40 meal card)
  • How: To keep the cost low, we will be organizing driving car pools to St. Louis!

****IMPORTANT****

If you are planning on attending ICON, please email Kacy (khaatved@css.edu) before MAY 15!! We need to put together roommate lists before you can submit your registration, which is due by June 1st! This will ensure that you have plenty of time. After Kacy tells you who your roommates will be, you can register for ICON.

A great resource for more information about ICON is our Minn-Dak to ICON Facebook group.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly is ICON?

International Convention is like our District Convention, but obviously on an International scale. You will get a chance to meet college students from all over the world, while attending workshops, making important decisions at the House of Delegates, developing your leadership skills, and exploring St. Louis!

Q: What will this cost me?

Registration for ICON is $395. You will also need to figure in some money for transportation costs, spending money (souvenirs, money for the CKI store, sight seeing costs), and some money for food.

Q: What is included in my $395 registration cost?

  • International convention registration
  • Four nights of housing in a Washington University in St. Louis residence hall
  • $40 to purchase meals or gifts on campus

Q: What kinds of things will I do at ICON:

A: Your International Convention registration costs cover access to:

  • Convention sessions and workshops
  • Block party
  • Speaker Ethan Zohn
  • Service Fair
  • House of Delegates
  • CKI tailgate
  • Inaugural ball
  • Unlimited fun and lasting friendships!

Q: How will I get to ICON?

A: Because St. Louis is within driving distance of our district, we are planning on a carpooling/caravan option for traveling to St. Louis. Final details will be worked out for this once we know how many people will be attending and where they are from, but plan on this as a definite (and less expensive option) to your travel arrangements. You also have the option of flying and there is easy access to the convention site (Washington University in St. Louis) from the airport.

Q: How do I register?

A: Simply send Kacy an email (khaatved@css.edu) before May 15, letting her know that you will be attending. This is so we can assign roommates. When she emails you back with your convention roommates (4 to a room) then you can register here: https://www.kiwanisone.org/MemberResources/Convention/Circlek/CKI_ConvReg2010.aspx

You are responsible for registering on your own, but don't hesitate to contact Kacy if you have any questions!
